Astro Bot is releasing with around 80 levels, but fans can look forward to additional free DLC shortly after launch, focusing primarily on challenge levels. Team Asobi's studio head, Nicolas Doucet, suggested that the DLC will feature more PlayStation character cameos beyond the 150 promised in the base game. During a preview, players rescued characters like Kratos and Atreus in a unique ice-themed level, hinting at the variety and depth to come. Doucet also mentioned that PlayStation has allowed the inclusion of characters from various internal studios, resulting in cameos from popular characters such as Ratchet, Rivet, and PaRappa.

The free DLC for Astro Bot will primarily add challenge levels, with potential additional content including more character cameos and themed levels.
