ASUS Apologizes for Evangelion Motherboard Misprint and Offers Replacement Program
ASUS, the prominent tech manufacturer, is addressing a misprint issue with its special edition Evangelion-themed motherboards. The ROG Maximus Z790 Hero EVA-02 Edition was released featuring iconography and phrases from the classic anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, but due to a typo, the word "Evangelion" was mistakenly spelled as "Evangenlion" on certain products.
Customers who purchased the flashy motherboard were surprised by the error, which ASUS has confirmed is solely cosmetic and does not impact the motherboard's performance. In response to the customer backlash, ASUS has apologized for the mistake, assuring clients that additional warranty coverage and a replacement service for the misprinted part are being offered.
Those affected by the misprint can have their warranty extended by an additional year and can contact ASUS customer services for a correctly printed replacement part.
Evangelion fans and PC builders interested in the ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero EVA-02 Edition now have the opportunity to get their units corrected and retain their themed gaming setups without the typo.
