BBC Drops 1,000 One Piece Episodes in the UK This Year

The BBC has announced the acquisition of over 1,000 episodes of the iconic anime series One Piece, which will be exclusively available in English dubbing on BBC iPlayer for UK audiences. This extensive release, starting on September 1, 2024, will cover major story arcs, including East Blue, Arabasta, and Skypiea. The introduction of these episodes aims to cater to the growing demand for One Piece content in the UK, coinciding with the recent Netflix live-action adaptation, which has further boosted the franchise's popularity. Fiona Campbell, controller of youth audiences at iPlayer and BBC Three, expressed excitement about making this extensive library accessible to fans who enjoy captivating storytelling and rich character development.

UK fans can watch One Piece episodes on the BBC iPlayer streaming service, which is free for those with a TV License. The first batch of dubbed episodes will consist of the East Blue, Arabasta, and Skypiea arcs, with the full collection being available by the end of the year.
