Bethesda Softworks head Todd Howard has confirmed they’re not looking to rush Fallout 5 despite the recent success of the Fallout TV show on Prime Video. In a recent interview, Howard emphasized the importance of careful planning and treating their franchises, such as Fallout, Elder Scrolls, and Starfield, with the attention they deserve. While the last mainline Fallout game, Fallout 4, came out in 2015, and a multiplayer spin-off, Fallout 76, launched in 2018, fans are eagerly awaiting new single-player content. Howard reiterated that developing meaningful game experiences takes time and is worth the wait, hence the deliberate pace regarding Fallout 5.

When will Fallout 5 be released?n

As of now, Bethesda has not provided a release date for Fallout 5. The company is currently focusing on The Elder Scrolls 6 and updates for Starfield, indicating that Fallout 5 is still in the planning stages and may take some time before it is officially announced or released.

The Fallout series, known for its post-apocalyptic open-world RPG experience, began with Fallout 1 in 1997. Since then, it has garnered a massive fanbase through critically acclaimed titles like Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. The series features a blend of dark humor, branching dialogues, and deep lore, making each game a unique adventure in the wastelands of the future. The collaboration with Prime Video for a Fallout TV show has helped invigorate the franchise’s popularity, setting the stage for a highly anticipated next installment.
