Castle Crashers, the beloved Xbox 360-era 2D side-scrolling hack-and-slash game, is getting exciting new DLC on Steam over a decade after its initial release. Developer The Behemoth announced the Painter Boss Paradise DLC during a YouTube livestream, showcasing artistic updates to characters and weapons, plus a new playable character named Paint Junior. This DLC will also introduce customizable characters using the Steam workshop. While a specific release date was not provided, more information is expected soon. Along with this, The Behemoth revealed quality-of-life updates for Battleblock Theater and Pit People, and new ports for Alien Hominid HD and Alien Hominid Invasion for PlayStation consoles. Additionally, The Behemoth teased that a new game is currently in the prototyping stage, but it remains a mystery whether it will be Castle Crashers 2 or a brand-new title.
