Although previously there were no intentions for a second season of Edgerunners, the company is now open to expanding this universe through new animated content. The original series, which debuted in September 2022, played a significant role in revitalizing Cyberpunk 2077’s player base, attracting millions of new players. Enthusiasm from fans suggests that further stories in this universe could be well-received.

Will there be a second season of Cyberpunk Edgerunners?

While no official confirmation for a second season of Cyberpunk Edgerunners has been provided, CD Projekt has expressed intentions to explore more animation projects within the franchise, indicating that fans can expect new content.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners was developed in cooperation with Studio Trigger and Netflix, quickly becoming a fan favorite. Not only did it compliment the aesthetics and themes of Cyberpunk 2077, but it also introduced concepts like Cyberpsychosis, which have since been incorporated into the game through mods.
