Lords of the Fallen, a game by Hexworks and CI Games, has reached a significant milestone, as publisher CI Games announced the title sold one million copies within 10 days. Despite initial performance issues upon its launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S on October 13, the game has since improved through several patch updates, with a further update reactivating PC-console crossplay scheduled for October 26.

Marek Tyminski, CEO of CI Games, remarked that "Lords of the Fallen is the most important and ambitious game we’ve developed in our 20-year history, and the first in our new planned AAA pipeline of games in the years ahead."

Saul Gascon, Head of Studio at Hexworks, expressed his gratitude to the community, saying, "Thank you to all the Lampbearers out there who have embarked on their journeys across Mournstead...It's their unwavering dedication that has made this success possible, and we couldn't be prouder to share it with them."

In its review, IGN coined "Lords of the Fallen" as a great soulslike, despite its technical issues and weak boss fights, praising its innovative feature of world-swapping and buildcrafting.
