The upcoming game, Disney Dreamlight Valley, will no longer be free-to-play upon its official release, deviating from prior announcements by publisher Gameloft. The game, currently in early access for €29.99, was originally slated to transition to a free-to-play model upon its official release on 5th December. However, Gameloft has opted for a paid release to maintain support for the game, paying particular attention to sustaining free rollouts of new characters, clothes, furniture, and other surprises.
Several versions of the game will be available upon release, and an expansion pass entitled A Rift in Time will be unveiled on November 1 through a livestream. Disney Dreamlight Valley features players' own avatars in a village devastated by a mysterious event known as The Forgetting. Gamers are required to rebuild the village as per their liking and unravel the mystery behind The Forgetting, forming relationships with popular Disney and Pixar characters.
The game is compatible with the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
