GHOST HUNT 2024 Announcement

The release of the highly anticipated game "Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden" has been delayed to early 2024, according to the developers, Dontnod and Focus Entertainment. Given the volume of game releases towards the end of this year, the decision was made to shift the release date to ensure the game gets the attention it deserves.

This narrative-driven action RPG, first announced in late 2022, puts you in the shoes of two ghost hunters and lovers, Antea Duarte and Red mac Raith. Their adventure begins in New Eden in 1695, where they are Banishers, essentially ghost hunters sworn to protect the living from lingering phantoms. Following a difficult mission, Antea gets mortally wounded and turns into the very thing she despises - a spirit.

As a player, you help the couple in their quest to find a cure for Antea's plight while also confronting the supernatural. You'll immerse yourself in New Eden's vibrant communities and help solve spine-chilling mysteries in a world teeming with supernatural creatures and ancient secrets. Battles are fought using a combination of Antea's spiritual powers and Red's weaponry. Your choices throughout the game can dramatically alter your story, possibly even forcing you to betray your ghost-hunting vow for your spectral lover.

Throughout "Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden," you can expect to uncover hidden mysteries, acquire new gear and abilities, and experience a deep and engaging storyline. The gameplay thus promises a blend of action, adventure, and narrative decision-making that has serious consequences. While we'll have to wait a bit longer for the game's release, hopefully, it proves to be worth it.
