"Elder Scrolls 6 Revealed Early Due to Fan Demand"

Oct 25, 2023 3:59 PM

The Elder Scrolls 6 was revealed early due to strong demand from fans, according to Bruce Nesmith, designer of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim in an interview with MinnMax. The announcement came at E3 2018, carried out to meet fans' expectations, as they were metaphorically waiting with 'pitchforks and torches'. Five years have passed, and Bethesda has yet to reveal anything about the upcoming installment in The Elder Scrolls series. Nesmith confirmed fans don't need to expect further information too soon, quoting "I bet you won't hear many details until about six months before release." The release date for The Elder Scrolls 6 is currently unknown, but in a lawsuit around Activision Blizzard's takeover by Microsoft, Xbox boss Phil Spencer suggests it won't be until at least 2028. Bethesda's Todd Howard wants to make The Elder Scrolls 6 "the ultimate fantasy world simulation," and it will likely be only available on Xbox Series X, Series S, and PC.
