Jun 26, 2024 2:33 PM

Marvel has officially confirmed that the upcoming MCU Fantastic Four movie will be set in the 1960s, featuring multiverse elements. Marvel's Kevin Feige hinted at these details on the new Official Marvel Podcast, referring to art released earlier this year which hinted at a mid-century setting with a futuristic twist. The cast includes big names such as Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. The movie is set to release on July 25, 2025.

Who are the cast members of the new Fantastic Four movie?

The new Fantastic Four movie will feature Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/the Thing.

The Fantastic Four has been a prominent super-family in Marvel Comics since its creation by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1961. Known for their groundbreaking storytelling and dynamic characters, they opened doors to numerous possibilities in the Marvel multiverse, such as alternate realities and cosmic adventures. The 1960s setting for the new movie could potentially explore their origin story and integrate them seamlessly into Marvel's broader cinematic universe. With the multiverse theme, fans get a taste of how these legendary characters might interact with MCU's existing and future storylines.

Wow, setting the Fantastic Four in the 1960s sounds like an awesome retro twist With that cast and the promise of multiverse shenanigans, this could be a seriously fresh addition to the MCU.

Seeing the Fantastic Four set in the 1960s with a multiverse twist has me hyped, especially with a cast like Pascal and Kirby bringing these classic characters to life. It's gonna be rad to see how they blend the retro vibes with futuristic elements in the MCU
