Mar 25, 2024 8:19 PM

Exciting news for Final Fantasy XVI fans, as Producer Naoki "Yoshi-P" Yoshida teases the possibility of the game launching on additional platforms beyond the already confirmed PlayStation 5 and prospective PC release. While speaking about the upcoming DLC, "The Rising Tide," set to launch in April, Yoshida suggested that once the PC version is out, the team hopes to consider other platforms too. Square Enix has not officially confirmed any platforms other than PS5 and PC, and while the game was noted as a six-month console exclusive in a past advertisement, an Xbox or Switch release has not yet materialized. Final Fantasy XVI aficionados can anticipate a demo before the PC version's release, which is currently undergoing the final optimization tweaks. The game has been hailed for its engaging story, characters, and world-building, as well as its action-focused combat system, marking a shift from the traditional Final Fantasy formula.

Will Final Fantasy XVI be available on platforms other than PlayStation 5 and PC?

Though there has been no official confirmation from Square Enix, Final Fantasy XVI's producer, Naoki Yoshida, has hinted at the possibility of the game coming to additional platforms after the PC version is released.
