Capcom has kicked off the new year by sharing new artwork for the highly anticipated "Dragon's Dogma 2," proving to be a visual treat for fans eager for more. This next installment proudly announced its release date for March 22 – a date befitting the game's thematic focus in the "year of the dragon." The game's director, Hideaki Itsuno, wishes players a happy new year and hints at the scale of effort being poured into making this RPG an unforgettable journey through a rich fantasy world.

The upcoming game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. The original "Dragon's Dogma" game, launched in 2012, earned a dedicated following and evolved with the expanded "Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen." Over the years, it has spanned various platforms like the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. Netflix even expanded on its legacy with a seven-part animated series adapted from the game's universe in 2020. To give a glimpse of the game's environment, a trailer was shared in November, showcasing what players can look forward to.

What platforms will Dragon's Dogma 2 be available on?

Dragon's Dogma 2 will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.

The "Dragon’s Dogma" series has developed a cult-like status over time. The first game set a high standard for action RPGs with its open-world gameplay, innovative "pawn" system, and engaging combat mechanics. The "Pawn" system allowed players to recruit other player's characters to aid in their quests, creating a unique interconnectedness among the game’s community. The impending release of "Dragon's Dogma 2" aims to not only rekindle the excitement of long-time fans but also attract a new generation of gamers to the franchise.
