Silent Hill: Ascension, a new interactive streaming series, is set to seemingly premiere on Halloween, according to its Google Play listing. This choose-your-own-adventure style series will allow the audience to make collective decisions that will shape the story within the Silent Hill universe. These choices will be reflected in daily live story scenes that will alter according to the audience's verdicts.

This project, produced by Genvid Entertainment, has been shrouded in mystery. Genvid CEO, Jacob Navok, offered some insight in a recent interview. He described the series as focused on "crowd-control decision making." The concept is where viewers can see the impacts of audience decisions in real time and also join in on the fun.

Set to be accessible on Ascension.com and other platforms including apps and console builds, Silent Hill: Ascension involves various main characters worldwide dealing with horrifying new monsters from the Silent Hill realm. These monsters pose a threat to communities, individuals and their children, instigating terror through recent murders and age-old fears and guilt.

This series is a joint collaboration between Konami, Genvid Entertainment, JJ Abrams' Bad Robot Games, and Behaviour Interactive. It's only one of several Silent Hill projects currently in development, including a remake of Silent Hill 2, two spinoffs, and a new film.
