As part of their Halloween update, Fortnite will introduce Alan Wake, Michael Myers, and Jack Skellington as playable characters.

Epic Games, the game's developer, announced this, stating that these characters would be available during the recently initiated Fortnitemares event and purchasable in the in-game store.

Additionally, several weapons are set to return, such as the Pumpkin Launcher and Witch's Broom. New weapons will also be added to the arsenal, like the Woodstake Shotgun and Thorne's Vampiric Blade.

Epic Games will reintroduce the Horde Rush mode, where gamers will face off against hordes of Cube Monsters.

The Fortnitemares event will run until November 3rd.
