Jun 06, 2024 12:54 PM

Helldivers 2's developer Arrowhead has announced the upcoming premium Warbond, Viper Commandos, arriving on June 13. Responding to player feedback, Arrowhead has opted for quality over quantity, aiming to polish the designs and create better thematic coherence in the game. The new Warbond includes higher quality armor, unique weapon passives, emotes, and diverse item types. Noteworthy additions include the AR-23A Liberator Carbine, SG-22 Bushwhacker triple-barrel shotgun, and the Peak Physique passive armor. New skins for hellpods and a throwing knife are also introduced. This update follows speculation about a new enemy faction, Illuminate, entering the game. The announcement follows Helldivers 2's success as the fastest-selling PlayStation game, despite facing initial server issues and controversies involving Sony’s PSN account linking for Steam players.
