Leaked: full 'Baldur's Gate 3' TGA speech

During the prestigious event, the game was celebrated as 'Game of the Year', but like many winners, Vincke lacked the opportunity to deliver his full remarks. In his undelivered speech, Vincke expressed his gratitude for the honor of winning in such a competitive year, thanked Geoff Keighley, organizer of The Game Awards, and acknowledged the passionate efforts of Larian's team, particularly the QA testers who often go unrecognized.
Vincke dedicated the award to the Larian team members, families, and friends who passed away during the game's development. He also thanked Dungeons and Dragons owner Wizards of the Coast, despite recent layoffs at the company and its parent company, Hasbro. In addition to 'Game of the Year', Baldur's Gate 3 received awards for best acting performance by Neil Newbon, best community support, best role-playing game, best multiplayer game, and the Player's Voice award, which is voted on by gamers.
Other notable winners at The Game Awards included Alan Wake 2 for best direction, narrative, and art direction, HBO's The Last of Us for best adaptation, Final Fantasy 16 for best music, Hi-Fi Rush for best audio design, Sea of Stars for best independent game, and Cocoon for best debut game.
