Sebastian Stan, widely recognized for his portrayal of Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is set to take on the role of a young Donald Trump in a forthcoming movie titled 'The Apprentice.' The film will chronicle Trump's ascension in the New York real estate scene during the 1970s and 1980s, with a focus on his connection with the notorious lawyer Roy Cohn. Jeremy Strong from 'Succession' is cast as Cohn, while Maria Bakalova from 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3' is slated to portray Ivana Trump, Donald's first wife.

The director of the critically praised Persian-language crime thriller 'Holy Spider,' Ali Abbasi, will helm the project, with the screenplay penned by Gabriel Sherman, known for 'The Loudest Voice in the Room' about Roger Ailes, which inspired a Showtime miniseries.

Aside from his successful Marvel career, Sebastian Stan has been active in other roles, including an Emmy-nominated performance in the Hulu miniseries 'Pam & Tommy.' Jeremy Strong recently concluded his role as Kendall Roy in 'Succession,' whereas Maria Bakalova earned an Oscar nomination for 'Borat Subsequent Moviefilm.'
