Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 Code Leaked, Includes References to MGS4, 5, and Peace Walker

A recent code leak for the newly released Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, suggests that Metal Gear Solid 4, Metal Gear Solid 5, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker may be part of future releases. This information was shared on Reddit, after an insider discovered references to these three titles in the collection's code.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, which has been released today, features the original Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, as well as MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. The package also includes the NES games Metal Gear and Snake's Revenge: Metal Gear 2.

However, it is important to note that Metal Gear Solid 4, Metal Gear Solid 5 and Peace Walker are not included in the released collection. The Reddit leak suggests that these games are referenced in the code as part of the asset directory, prompting speculation that they might be released in a future volume.

No official statement has been released by game developer Konami regarding the possible inclusion of these titles in a future collection. Fans of the series are left to speculate on this intriguing information until further announcements are made.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 is currently available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
