Microsoft recently announced the launch of the Gold Shadow Special Edition Xbox controller, which will be available from the 17th of October for a price of 69,99 Euros. The front of this controller, apart from the buttons, is entirely gold-colored and is compatible with Xbox Series, Xbox One consoles, PCs, smartphones, and tablets via Bluetooth and Xbox Wireless.

Throughout the year, Microsoft has unveiled several new Xbox controllers in diverse designs, including Sunkissed Vibes, Stormcloud Vapor, Stellar Shift, and Velocity Green alongside red and blue versions of the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller.

Interestingly, documents revealed from a court case between Microsoft and the Federal Trade Commission hint at new versions of the Xbox Series X and S currently under development. They also suggest a new controller being worked on under the codename 'Sebile.' This upcoming controller might include enhanced haptic feedback, speakers, a rechargeable battery, and gyro support.

It seems Microsoft is always finding new ways to improve the gaming experience and keeping gamers on the edge with all these new controller designs. Reactions from users were mixed, with some finding the gold and black design less appealing while others thought it had its charm. As always, tastes vary.
