After several delays, the first patch for Payday 3 has been released by Starbreeze. This update covers extensive fixes aimed at enhancing the robbery experience for players, with improvements to balance, gameplay, and user interface. Previously promised bonus items will also now be correctly delivered to those who pre-ordered the game. Since its launch on September 21, Payday 3 had suffered from matchmaking issues, preventing successful game plays.
While the company reported that these matchmaking issues were largely solved, players expressed discontent over several other issues affecting the game. Consequently, the number of players began shrinking, particularly on Steam. Despite numerous setbacks in October, Starbreeze assured fans that they were working hard to release the patch and were focused on ensuring a more stable rollout for future patches. Payday 3, set several years after Payday 2 in New York City, is playable on Xbox Series X, S, PlayStation 5, and PC, and also through Game Pass.
