Last week, Nintendo intrigued fans with a cryptic teaser trailer for an unknown game. Now, it's revealed as "Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club," set for release on August 29 for the Nintendo Switch. This marks the first new entry in the Famicom Detective Club series in 30 years. Creator Yoshio Sakamoto, who expressed the desire to expand the series beyond its remakes, is leading the project. The game follows an assistant private investigator unraveling the mystery of a student’s murder by a character named Emio. Ayumi Tachibana from "The Missing Heir" returns as a playable character in select segments.
