According to IGN Entertainment, the Nintendo Switch will no longer support the Twitch app. This was officially announced by Twitch, confirming the app will be delisted starting November 6. Furthermore, existing users will lose access to the app on January 31, 2024.

The Twitch app was first launched on Nintendo Switch in 2021. Although the app worked decently, it offered limited features. Users could only watch streams on Twitch and were not able to stream directly from the Switch. Also, the app didn't support viewing a streamer's chat within the app itself.

The decision to remove Twitch from Nintendo Switch comes amidst rumors of a possible Nintendo Switch 2 in 2024. Twitch, however, did not provide further details on their choice to delist the app on Nintendo Switch.

Despite this change, the Nintendo Switch continues to support popular apps such as YouTube. Still, it doesn't include large applications such as Netflix. The lack of support for significant services has been a longstanding gripe among Nintendo fans.
