In gamer industry news, beloved game Pac-Man 99 has officially gone offline and is no longer available for download on the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo Switch. This move was previously announced by Nintendo in May. Initially, the game was accessible free of charge for Nintendo Switch Online members.
Those who paid for the Deluxe Pack or a Mode Unlock still have the ability to play Pac-Man 99's offline modes. However, new players are now unable to access the game, and the online servers are no longer operational.
Pac-Man 99 was a unique spin on the popular Tetris 99 and featured a competitive setup where players faced off against 98 others with the goal of being the last player standing. As of now, Tetris 99 and F-Zero 99 continue to be available for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.
