The spotlight is set to shine on Princess Peach in her new game Princess Peach: Showtime. Exclusive to Nintendo Switch, this is the third game where Princess Peach takes centre stage.

We first saw her leading the gameplay in the 1990's Princess Toadstool's Castle Run, appearing on the Nelsonic Game Watch, and then again in Super Princess Peach, a 2005 Nintendo DS release.

Princess Peach: Showtime will allow players to witness Peach's transformation and use her show-stopping abilities. The game story involves Peach and her Toad pals caught in some theatre drama. They're attending a show at the Sparkle Theater when the wicked Grape and his Sour Bunch intervene. To rescue the day, Peach and Stella, the guardian of the theatre, decide to defy the villains.

In this new adventure, Peach shows off some intriguing abilities. Utilizing Stella’s magical ribbon, she can change into various characters, including a swordfighter, Kung Fu expert, a pastry chef, and even Detective Peach. Nintendo teases more transformations for Peach, but they're keeping it hush-hush for now. Players should note that gameplay will vary based on Peach’s current transformation.

The game is set to release on March 22, 2024, and is open for pre-orders now at the Nintendo eShop and some selected retailers. Watch out for further updates!
