Sony has officially unveiled the PlayStation 5 Pro, the much-anticipated mid-gen upgrade to the PS5, costing $700 and set to launch on November 7, 2024. The PS5 Pro boasts significantly enhanced hardware, including a GPU that features 67% more Compute Units and 28% faster memory, delivering up to 45% faster rendering. Improved ray tracing capabilities and the introduction of PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution ensure high-quality visuals, while the console supports the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology. Notably, the PS5 Pro will be disc-less at launch, but users can purchase an external disc drive separately. The console will come with a 2TB SSD and a copy of Astro's Playroom pre-installed, making it an attractive option for both new buyers and existing PS5 owners looking to upgrade for enhanced performance.
