Spaceballs 2: Josh Gad Stars, Mel Brooks Produces

Legendary Star Wars parody film Spaceballs is reportedly getting a sequel from Amazon MGM Studios, with Josh Gad and original creator Mel Brooks attached to the project. Gad, best known for voicing Olaf in Frozen, will star and serve as a producer alongside Brooks. The script is written by Gad, Benji Samit, and Dan Hernandez, and directed by Josh Greenbaum. Kevin Salter will also be an executive producer. Samit and Hernandez are known for their work on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and Pokémon: Detective Pikachu. Gad hinted at the project on Instagram, teasing that the film will be one of the funniest he's worked on. No release date has been announced.
