Eric Barone, the creator of the immensely popular Stardew Valley game, is making headlines once more with a sneak peek into his newest creation, Haunted Chocolatier. Barone, also known as ConcernedApe, continues to charm fans with his signature pixel-art style. He shared four new in-game screenshots to celebrate reaching a massive milestone of one million followers on his X social media platform (once Twitter).

These visuals provide fans an early look at the various game environments. A cozy homestead with a darker undertone than Stardew Valley's typical farm kicks off the display. The adventure continues with a scene from what appears to be a forest wilderness, where the player character crosses paths with potentially dangerous creatures.

One of the images highlights a moonlit fountain believed to be carved into the heart of a town, while the last screenshot reveals a truly dreamy aspect: a library. Discovering the connection these images have with the Haunted Chocolatier's narrative is definitely raising the bar of excitement among fans.

However, Barone didn't reveal a release date yet, leaving fans in suspense. Given his simultaneous work on Stardew Valley's 1.6 update, this solo developer surely has a lot on his plate. Yet, fans are convinced that the wait for Haunted Chocolatier will be worth their patience. If this game manages to capture even a fraction of Stardew Valley's charm and magic, it's touted to be another big hit.
