Stellar Blade Team Talks PC Region Lock Issue with Sony

Stellar Blade's impending Steam release has hit a snag due to a region lock issue affecting over 100 countries, including Egypt, Vietnam, Estonia, and Cuba. Developer Shift Up is in discussions with Sony to address these restrictions, which appear to correlate with regions lacking PlayStation Network availability. The developer assures that the integration of DRM will not hinder the game's framerate, countering concerns raised after similar issues with other titles. The PC version of Stellar Blade will launch on June 11, featuring enhancements like Nvidia DLSS 4, AMD FSR 3 support, and improved graphics.

The PC version of Stellar Blade boasts several enhancements, including AI upscaling via Nvidia DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3, an unlocked framerate, voiceover options in Japanese and Chinese, ultrawide display support, higher resolution textures, and DualSense controller features for haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.

Stellar Blade is an action RPG initially launched on PlayStation 5, noted for its striking visuals and fast-paced gameplay. However, it has faced criticism for its uninspiring characters and story. The upcoming PC release aims to refine this experience and widen its accessibility, while the region lock issue presents a notable barrier for eager players in affected countries.
