The first story expansion for Dead Island 2, known as "Haus," is set to breathe new life into the game when it lands on November 2. This expansion will offer players the chance to immerse themselves in a chilling storyline centered around a techno death cult, founded by a billionaire operating in secrecy.

The Haus expansion is loaded with content, including a fresh location to explore, three new weapons to wield, and eight new skill cards. It will be accessible on all platforms - PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Series X and S, and PC through the Epic Games Store.

The narrative of Haus situates players amidst a zombie apocalypse, entering a Villa in Malibu, California which serves as the base for a billionaire's eccentric and dangerous techno-death cult. The cult, led by a man named Konstantin, strives for survival, believing they are paving the way for a new future. It's up to the players to challenge their twisted ideology.

Among the weapons featured in the expansion are the K-ROSSBOW, which is perfect for precise, long-distance attacks, and the Hog Roaster, a weapon designed to simultaneously butcher and barbecue zombies. Alongside the bloodthirsty fun, Dead Island 2 launched in April 2023 and, measure of its popularity, sold over a million copies in just three days.

The game's review by IGN declared it to be an enjoyable zombie-slaying adventure laced with a great sense of humor, despite lacking creativity beyond that element. Its offbeat premise, engaging gameplay, and unique charm most certainly lend it appeal to a younger audience, while still maintaining the seriousness of its zombie apocalypse theme.
