Tango Gameworks Staff Exodus: 50 Members Head to Krafton

Aug 16, 2024 1:27 PM

In a recent development, PUBG publisher Krafton is acquiring around 50 staff members from Tango Gameworks, the team behind the popular game Hi-Fi Rush. This transition comes after Microsoft shut down Tango Gameworks earlier this year. Krafton aims to continue the development and expansion of the Hi-Fi Rush IP, emphasizing collaboration with Xbox and ZeniMax for a smooth workflow. While the remaining 50 employees did not join Krafton, it's speculated they may have secured other positions following the studio's closure. Hi-Fi Rush was recognized as a significant success for Xbox shortly before the shutdown.

What is Hi-Fi Rush and why is it significant?

Hi-Fi Rush is an action rhythm game that combines combat with music, allowing players to sync their attacks to the beat. Its significance comes from its critical acclaim and popularity within the gaming community, marking it as a breakout hit for Xbox shortly before Tango Gameworks' closure.
