A new update has been released for The Witcher 3 on all platforms, but owners of the Nintendo Switch version have some added features to look forward to. These additions, which were already available on other platforms due to a previous next-gen update, now bring a range of content to the Switch version.
However, due to the Switch's limited processing power, you shouldn't expect significant graphical improvements with the update. Instead, you'll get access to a new questline and outfits from the Netflix series.
Some gameplay enhancements from the next-gen update, such as combat rebalancing and the capability to quickly alternate between signs, are now also accessible on the Nintendo Switch. What's more, the Switch version now supports cross-progress. However, if you want to enjoy this, be aware that you need to have a GOG (Good Old Games) account.
For other versions of the game, update 4.04 is mainly focused on numerous necessary bug fixes.
If you haven't played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt yet, make sure to check out the reviews. It's an acclaimed modern classic that you might enjoy.
