WOOTING 80HE Founders’ drive is live now

Wooting, the renowned keyboard manufacturer, has recently launched the Founders' campaign for the new Wooting 80HE, a highly anticipated gaming keyboard. The Wooting 80HE, boasting the company's signature analog input technology, is designed to enhance the gaming experience for competitive players and keyboard enthusiasts. This TKL (tenkeyless) keyboard features customizable actuation point settings and rapid trigger technology.n

Apart from its analog capabilities, the Wooting 80HE offers what is called a true 8000Hz polling rate, which translates to a refresh scanning each key position individually, resulting in a remarkably low input lag of 0.125ms. Additionally, it introduces 'Rappy Snappy' technology, which detects the furthest pressed key among two simultaneous key presses, allowing gamers to anticipate and prepare for in-game movements such as counterstrafing and bunny hopping. This could be particularly beneficial in fast-paced shooters or games involving swordplay.n

To provide a smoother typing experience with reduced noise, the Wooting 80HE's PCBA and switch plate are cushioned with a silicone gasket. The keyboard also comes equipped with pre-installed 'screw-in stabilizers' to minimize key rattle and a PCR plastic switch plate designed to lower high-frequency noises while enhancing the desired 'thock' sound quality.n

During the first 24 hours of the campaign, around 11,000 people have signed up as founders. The campaign is set to end on April 14, 2024, and the first batch of Wooting 80HE keyboards is expected to be shipped to their new owners in August 2024. The keyboard can be bought either as a full prebuilt or as a module, available in a PCR Plastic version priced at 219,99 euros, a Zinc alloy prebuilt for 319,99 euros, and the Wooting 80HE Module for 174,99 euros.n
