Activision has revealed the Zombie mode for the soon-to-be-released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 during a recent Call of Duty: Next livestream event. This marks the first time that a Modern Warfare game will feature a Zombie mode.
The new mode won't follow the traditional round-based gameplay; instead, it will offer an 'extraction' gameplay that combines features of Zombies and DMZ.
Both solo players and groups can enjoy the new mode, with up to eight squads of three players joining a game. Story-driven missions, in the form of Dark Aether, will also be a part of the experience.
Players can anticipate more zombies on the map than ever before, including special zombie types like the Abomination. Classic elements such as the perk machines and mystery box will make a comeback as well.
The much-anticipated Modern Warfare 3, featuring the new Zombie mode, will be released on November 10th. In anticipation of the release, a beta for PlayStation players will start today. Pre-order customers can play the game today and tomorrow, whereas all PlayStation gamers will have access on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. The following weekend, all systems will be able to partake.
Earlier in the week, the trailer for Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer mode has been released along with leaked images of the gameplay. Anticipation continues to build for the gaming community, as they eagerly await the release of this thrilling new game.
