Alien: Rogue Incursion - Part One: Evolved Edition now available on Nintendo Switch 2

Alien: Rogue Incursion - Part One: Evolved Edition is now officially available on Nintendo Switch 2, as announced by developer Survios. This version of the game takes advantage of the handheld’s mouse controls, which automatically switch to precision mouse aiming when the Joy-Con is placed on a surface. Players can now download the game via the Nintendo eShop.

Development and background

Alien: Rogue Incursion - Part One originally launched as a VR game in December 2024. The first non-VR release followed on September 30, 2025 for PC and PlayStation 5. The game lets players step into the role of former Colonial Marine Zula Hendricks as she explores the uncharted planet Purdan and comes into contact with the local xenomorphs.

Influences and design

The design and narrative elements of Alien: Rogue Incursion were influenced by the successful game Alien: Isolation. Chief Product Officer TQ Jefferson said that the visual and narrative aesthetic of Isolation was a major source of inspiration. He describes it as a loving tribute to the film Aliens, especially the third act where Ripley enters the hive.

Availability and platforms

In addition to Nintendo Switch 2, Alien: Rogue Incursion - Part One is already available on Xbox Series X and S, PS5, and PC. A PlayStation 4 version is also expected. Availability across multiple platforms expands the game’s reach to a broader audience.
