Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc gets streaming date

Crunchyroll has announced that Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc will be available to stream on the anime platform on April 30, 2026. The announcement follows earlier confirmation that the film would arrive this spring, more than six months after its North American theatrical release.

While Crunchyroll has not given an exact release time, it has confirmed the film will be available in both subtitled and dubbed versions. The streaming debut also kicks off Crunchyroll's annual Ani-May celebrations, a month of special deals and a selection of anime available to watch for free.

2026 Anime Awards

The Ani-May festivities will culminate in the 2026 Anime Awards, which will take place in Tokyo on May 23, 2026. Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc is nominated for Film of the Year at the awards show.

Financial success

Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and produced by MAPPA, the film has grossed more than $160 million worldwide. That makes it one of the highest-grossing Japanese animated films of all time. The movie was released in North American theaters in October 2025 and has since been available to rent or buy on digital storefronts such as Prime Video.

The film remains an important part of Crunchyroll's lineup, especially after the recent conclusion of Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga. The final chapter of Chainsaw Man was recently published, drawing mixed reactions from the community. Even as the manga ends, the anime continues to move forward, with season 2 in production at MAPPA and the Assassins Arc set to pick up directly after the film.
