A recent incident at the CAGGTUS Leipzig CS2 tournament has led to a shocking 10-year suspension for 30-year-old Counter-Strike 2 player MAUschine from Berlin. The incident took place during the awards ceremony on April 19, 2026, when MAUschine struck his opponent, Fabian 'Spidergum' Salomon.

The CAGGTUS Leipzig CS2 tournament is part of the largest LAN party in the German-speaking world and features competitive play in a 5v5 format. MAUschine and his team faced Spidergum's Legends Lobby in this 'Tier S' tournament, which kicked off on a Friday. The top prize was a 'Beginner LAN Seat 2027', while second and third place received a 'bequiet Pure Rock Pro 3 LX' and a 'free hot drinks flat rate 2027', respectively.

The incident on stage

During the awards ceremony after the loss, MAUschine, visibly frustrated, began mocking Spidergum's victory by imitating him. Spidergum had earlier copied MAUschine's own victory shout, 'papichulo', during the match. This prompted a violent reaction from MAUschine, who slapped Spidergum. The incident was captured on video, showing the hosts and audience shocked by what happened.

The event organizer, DACH CS Masters, responded immediately by handing MAUschine a suspension of at least 10 years. In a statement in German, they said: "We do not tolerate physical violence against other players at a LAN and have acted accordingly.
