Daredevil: Born Again season 2 loses a significant number of viewers

Recent viewing figures for the second season of Daredevil: Born Again show that the series has lost roughly half its audience compared with season 1. That has fans worried about the show’s future and Marvel’s plans for its street-level characters.

Looking back at season 1 and season 2

Although reviews for season 2 have been mostly positive, with many noting that it is a major improvement over the earlier, more chaotic episodes, total views and viewing hours have dropped sharply. The first five episodes of season 2 have reached 4.5 million views, a 46% decline from the 8.3 million views season 1 had at the same point.

In addition, total hours watched have also fallen, with season 2 posting 10.8 million hours compared with 24 million hours for season 1. That represents a 54% drop in viewing time.

A third season is currently in production in New York, sparking plenty of speculation about what fans can expect next.
