Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred has a broken gold farm

In the latest expansion for Diablo 4, titled Lord of Hatred, players have discovered a method to quickly gather large amounts of Gold. The technique makes use of the game’s new Talisman and Charms features, allowing players to significantly increase their Gold drop rate. However, it remains unclear whether this boosted Gold drop rate is intentional or the result of an unintended bug.

The gold-farming method

Players can increase their Gold drop rate by 25% by using at least three Practiced Technique Charms through the Talisman feature. While that 25% boost may not sound especially impressive, players can push it much higher with a special Legendary Horadric Seal that has the Practiced Technique affix, bringing the total to as much as a 900% Gold drop rate. Blizzard has also announced that a patch for Diablo 4 will go live on May 13, 2026. The update addresses several bugs, including an issue with the Spiritborn’s Armored Hide and its Trampled Under Foot skill, as well as the effectiveness of certain Uniques such as The Umbracrux and The Oculus. In addition, quality-of-life improvements for the Talisman and Charms feature have been announced, including a new sound effect for Set Charm drops and a new minimap icon for Set Charms.
