Giveaway with Sunderfolk and The Telltale Batman: Shadows Edition

Starting 14 May 2026, the Epic Games Store is offering two new free games: Sunderfolk and The Telltale Batman: Shadows Edition. These games are available to claim until 21 May 2026. Sunderfolk, a turn-based RPG, has received “Very Positive” user reviews.

Sunderfolk: a unique indie game

Originally released in April 2025, Sunderfolk blends tabletop game elements with video games. In the game, up to four players can team up for a campaign in the fictional village of Arden, which is threatened by a mysterious corruptive force known as Shadowstone. Players choose from animal-like heroes, coordinate turn-based battles, and upgrade their village between missions. The game offers a mix of strategic gameplay and teamwork.

The Telltale Batman: Shadows Edition

The Telltale Batman: Shadows Edition is a refreshed release of the well-known episodic Batman adventures. The bundle includes Batman: The Telltale Series and Batman: The Enemy Within, along with a “Shadows Mode” that delivers a darker, noir-inspired visual style. This collection includes ten episodes and has earned plenty of positive reviews, especially for its strong narrative and faithful handling of the source material.

Future giveaways

The Epic Games Store has announced that giveaways will continue with two new freebies on 21 May 2026. It is not yet clear which games will be available, but mystery game giveaways are a common practice for the store. This initial mystery approach does not stop Epic Games from continuing to surprise users with a variety of titles.

The combination of Sunderfolk and the Batman bundle brings the total value to around $79.98 in free content, confirming that Epic Games continues its strategy of offering valuable titles. So far, neither title has ever been offered for free on the platform, which adds to their appeal for users looking to expand their game library.
