Fallout 4 gets more mod storage on consoles

Bethesda has confirmed that an increase to mod storage for the console versions of Fallout 4 is on the way. The change will give players more room to download and use Creations. The developer says the expanded Creations storage on consoles will be available on 27 May.

Increased storage capacity

With this update, Xbox Series X/S users will be able to scale their Creations storage up to 100GB. On PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox One, storage will increase from 1GB or 2GB respectively to around 15GB. That marks a significant boost in capacity, giving players the option to download larger and more ambitious Creations.

Impact on older save files

It’s important to note that players with saves older than 10 November 2025 may run into issues. Players are encouraged to make a new save for their progress to avoid any problems with outdated saves.
