Genshin Impact: Nicole's full ability kit leaked

Genshin Impact fans now have a detailed look at Nicole’s full ability kit thanks to early datamining. Nicole is a new 5-star Pyro Catalyst set to debut in version 6.6. This update appears to focus heavily on Hexerei, and Nicole is expected to serve as a universal support for Hexerei teams. Version 6.6 will also introduce Lohen and Prune, two additional Hexerei characters.

What makes Nicole different

Nicole’s kit is designed to give Varka and other hypercarry characters a major boost. Varka, who previously launched with underwhelming numbers and struggled with team synergy, may finally get the support he needs through Nicole. Rumors have described Nicole in several roles, including a Pyro shielder, a Hexerei healer, and the ideal partner for Varka.

Details of Nicole's abilities

Nicole’s Elemental Skill, called Unmanifest Light, creates a Pyro shield that scales with the active character’s ATK. The shield not only provides protection, but also increases the user’s ATK, especially if they remain on the field for more than three seconds or are a Hexerei member. Her Elemental Burst, Pilgrimage of the Heavenly Path, deals Pyro damage and summons Mystical Projections that perform coordinated attacks, which also scale with the active character’s ATK.

An interesting passive, Quiet Contemplation, causes Nicole’s Charged Attack to summon a Seelie that guides players to the nearest treasure, but only in areas where the player has crafted a Treasure Compass. Nicole’s introduction therefore looks promising, with the potential to support a wide range of team compositions.

Impact on the game

Early impressions of Nicole’s kit are overwhelmingly positive, and players are eager to see how she performs during the version 6.5 beta test. However, one recurring concern is Nicole’s particle generation, especially in relation to her Elemental Burst. There are worries that using her abilities could be costly, which may affect her overall effectiveness in combat.
