Godzilla Minus Zero trailer shows King Ghidorah and releases on November 3 and 6, 2026

The trailer includes King Ghidorah’s gravity beams and Godzilla’s atomic breath. The new design for King Ghidorah was not fully revealed.

An official post from @Godzilla_Toho confirms that Godzilla Minus Zero will arrive via Godzilla Day IMAX Early Access on November 3, 2026, followed by a theatrical release on November 6, 2026. Tickets are already on sale.

What happened

Toho presented a new trailer for Godzilla Minus Zero during New York Comic Con 2026. According to the report, this is the film’s second full trailer, and it focuses on the clash between Godzilla and King Ghidorah. The available source material describes it as a fresh look at the sequel, without laying out every detail from the panel or the full edit.

The trailer shows King Ghidorah’s gravity beams alongside Godzilla’s atomic breath. Toho is still keeping the monster’s new look mostly under wraps, so the full design has not been revealed yet. That fits the film’s current marketing approach: it confirms King Ghidorah’s return, but not exactly how the creature will look in this version.

The official Godzilla_Toho account tied the release to the slogan “Fight fire with fire.” In the same announcement, Godzilla Minus Zero is set for Godzilla Day IMAX Early Access on November 3, 2026, with a wider theatrical release on November 6, 2026. The post also says tickets are now available. That locks in a two-step rollout: an early IMAX showing around Godzilla Day, then the full cinema release a few days later.

The trailer also teases another story beat. According to the report, it again raises the question of how Noriko Oishi survived Godzilla’s first attack, though the available source does not explain that mystery. That suggests the campaign is leaning not only on monster action, but also on a continuing thread from Godzilla Minus One.

Background

Godzilla Minus Zero is positioned as a sequel to Godzilla Minus One. The new marketing clearly shifts toward a bigger monster battle, with King Ghidorah as the trailer’s main new reveal. That moves the focus toward a clash between two iconic kaiju, while still keeping a direct link to the previous film.

The available source material still leaves some questions open. King Ghidorah’s new design has not been fully revealed, and Noriko Oishi’s survival after Godzilla’s first attack remains unexplained. Extra details from the NYCC 2026 panel are not included in the provided sources. What is clear is that the official messaging centers on three concrete points: the trailer debut at New York Comic Con 2026, the early IMAX release on November 3, 2026, and the wide theatrical release on November 6, 2026.

The official post from @Godzilla_Toho also uses the short promotional line “Fight fire with fire,” which sums up the tone of the campaign. In the same post, the studio confirms ticket sales and both release dates, making the film’s rollout explicit. Together, the trailer, social post, and release confirmation make this update primarily a marketing beat, with the new footage as the main story detail.
