Take-Two expects fiscal year 2027 to deliver record operating performance, driven largely by the launch of GTA 6. Estimated revenue for that year is projected between $8 billion and $8.2 billion, representing a 20% increase over the previous year.

Marketing strategies

The marketing campaign for GTA 6 is expected to begin in the summer of 2026, alongside the opening of pre-orders. The first trailer for GTA 6 was released more than a year ago, and players are still waiting for the third installment. While details around the campaign have not been confirmed, the launch could line up with major events such as the FIFA World Cup.

Zelnick has said that for all entertainment products, marketing is essential to engage consumers before launch, regardless of how popular the franchise already is.

Release and platform support

GTA 6 will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on the announced date. To date, Rockstar Games has not officially confirmed when a PC version will be available, though such a release is expected within one to two years after the console launch.
