The digital version of Hoppers can be rented for $24.99 or purchased for $29.99. Both options include a digital copy of the film, which can be delivered for 24-hour viewing or added permanently to a library. The digital release also includes several extras, such as deleted scenes and behind-the-scenes featurettes with the voice cast.

There is currently no confirmed release date for the film on Disney+. Recent Pixar releases, such as Elio, have typically arrived on the streaming service about three months after their theatrical debut.

Theatrical release and reception

Hoppers hit theaters a little more than six weeks before becoming available digitally. While the film has not matched the box office numbers of Pixar sequels like Inside Out 2 and Zootopia 2, it is worth noting that it is Pixar’s most successful original film since Coco. That positive reception has sparked a wave of memes and GIFs about the film on social media, reflecting the popularity of its story and characters.

Future releases and developments

Hoppers director Daniel Chong is also known for the Cartoon Network series We Bare Bears and previously worked on animated films such as Inside Out. However, this marks his first time leading a Pixar project. Hoppers will be followed by a slate of new Pixar releases, including sequels such as Toy Story 5, which is set to hit theaters on June 19, 2026.
