Lies of P: sequel and new projects in development

The popular game Lies of P, released in 2023 by Neowiz, has now officially received a sequel. Development on the follow-up has entered a new phase. This article covers the current status of the sequel, as well as other projects the developer is working on.

Development of the sequel

The Lies of P sequel was confirmed more than two years ago and has recently entered full production. Neowiz’s Q1 2026 financial report confirmed that the sequel’s prototype has been approved, clearing the way for further development. However, concrete details about the gameplay and setting have not yet been revealed.

The sequel has also reached the so-called “vertical slice” phase. This means a playable section of the game has been developed to provide a representative example of the final product. It is typically used to present the game’s vision to financial stakeholders.

New projects from Neowiz

Alongside the sequel, Neowiz is also working on other interesting projects. One of them is Project Windi, a new Soulslike RPG that is currently in the prototype phase. This project is being led by Kay Lee, known for his work on Vindictus.

There is also a narrative RPG in development, Project Rubicon, which has now reached the vertical slice phase as well. Both Project Windi and Project Rubicon are new IPs, but further details remain unknown.

Sales and revenue

According to Neowiz’s latest financial report, revenue from the Lies of P DLC, Overture, has stabilized. This can be seen as a positive development, as the company focuses on global IP franchising and fandom-centered activities to drive robust revenue growth.

Neowiz’s future strategy

Neowiz has indicated that it is increasingly focusing on AI-assisted game development. Round8 Studio, the team behind Lies of P, is looking for an “AI Creator” who can create concept proposals using tools such as Stable Diffusion and Midjourney. This suggests the company wants to integrate innovative technologies to speed up production.

With these developments and the expansion of its portfolio, Neowiz appears to be firmly positioning itself within the gaming industry. The combination of a Lies of P sequel and new projects such as Project Windi and Project Rubicon promises a lot for the future.
