Marvel Comics unveils DNX

Marvel Comics has announced DNX, the next major X-Men crossover. In this new limited series, Cyclops and the X-Men will team up with the Fantastic Four to stop one of the original X-Men from forcibly turning humanity into mutants. DNX is written by Jed MacKay and illustrated by Federico Vincentini, known for Imperial.

The first issue of DNX will be available as a 'True Believers Blind Bag' edition, featuring a number of randomly selected exclusive variant covers. This is a common strategy for recent major Marvel launches. DNX builds on recent developments in MacKay's X-Men series and the 'Age of Revelation' crossover.

The central threat of 3K

In DNX, Cyclops and his team face the mutant terrorist group 3K. The head of 3K is the Chairman, who is the original, now evil version of Beast. The group aims to unleash a virus that will turn humans into mutants. The collaboration between the X-Men and the Fantastic Four is crucial to countering this threat.

Upcoming release and prelude

DNX #1 will be released on 2 September 2026. For those interested in a preview of the story, there will be a prelude appearing during Comics Giveaway Day 2026: Armageddon/X-Men #1, which will be available for free on 2 May 2026.

MacKay said DNX represents an important milestone in the X-Men series. He stated: "Age of Revelation showed the future, and DNX shows that future and its impact on the present!
