Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls confirms Savage Hulk and Shuri Black Panther as playable fighters
Developer Arc System Works has announced that Savage Hulk and Shuri Black Panther are joining the playable fighters in Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. The news was revealed during Evo Japan 2026, where fans got their first look at the two legendary comic book characters set to step into the ring when the game launches in August 2026.
New playable characters
Savage Hulk and Shuri as Black Panther are now part of the group known as the Fighting Avengers. These additions promise exciting gameplay, with players able to make use of the unique abilities of these iconic characters in battles against other heroes and villains.
Stage and new characters
A new stage is also being introduced in the game, set in Wakanda, an important home base for many Black Panther stories. Alongside Hulk and Shuri, a character called The Champion will also be available. The Champion is described as a "cosmic conqueror" who comes to Earth in search of worthy opponents.
Hints at extra content
The trailer also includes hints that a Symbiote character may appear in the game. In the final moments of the trailer, the familiar growl of a Symbiote can be heard, leading fans to speculate that Carnage could also be part of the playable roster. While there is no official confirmation yet, fans believe the numbers "361" seen in the trailer may reference Carnage's first full appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man #361.
