Planet Zoo 2: first details and release date revealed

Frontier Developments has proudly announced Planet Zoo 2, a sequel to the popular zoo sim that will arrive nearly seven years after the original release on October 13, 2026. This new edition introduces a number of impressive features, including flying and aquatic animals, as well as a stronger focus on conservation.

New animals and gameplay

In Planet Zoo 2, players can let their creativity run wild with the addition of new species. The game will include blacktip reef sharks, hawksbill turtles, toucans, and secretary birds, among others. This is the first time players will be able to build aquariums and aviaries, adding a new dimension to the design of their zoos.

Players will also get the chance to expand conservation beyond the zoo. This means restoring natural habitats and releasing animals into wildlife reserves. The approach also extends to keeping animals healthier and creating more complex habitat structures.
