Pokemon GO: Limited-Time Team Leader Quests Begin on May 26

Niantic is introducing a new set of quests for Pokemon GO focused on the game’s three team leaders: Blanche, Spark, and Candela. Players can earn rewards, unlocks, and unique encounters by completing these new adventure quests. These quests are available for a limited time and give players a chance to expand their in-game experience.

New Quests and Rewards

From May 26 through June 15, the quests will spotlight a different team and related activities each week. These adventures are part of the ongoing content rotation that defines Pokemon GO, a free-to-play live-service game that regularly adds new seasons, events, and activities.

Team Mystic: Blanche’s Quest for Knowledge (May 26 - June 1)

The first week of the quests is dedicated to Team Mystic and its leader, Blanche. During this period, the following Pokemon will appear more often in the wild: Squirtle, Alolan Vulpix, Krabby, Staryu, and Galarian Zigzagoon. In addition, players may encounter special Pokemon through Field Research tasks and by using Incense, including Cubone, Horsea, and Lapras.

Special Pokemon GO passes will also be available, both free and paid, giving players the chance to experience a Blanche-themed Lapras encounter.

Team Instinct: Spark’s Caretaking Quest (June 2 - 8)

The following week will be all about Team Instinct and its leader, Spark. This part of the quests focuses on hatching eggs, with players able to hatch 7 km Eggs for Pokemon such as Pichu, Elekid, and Shinx. In the wild, Pokemon like Bulbasaur, Alolan Raichu, and Dratini will appear more frequently.

Players will also be able to contribute to Field Research tasks featuring the previously mentioned Pokemon, and a Team Instinct-themed Pokemon will be available through the Pokemon GO pass.

Team Valor: Candela’s Quest for Victory (June 9 - 15)

In the final week of the quests, Team Valor and its leader, Candela, take center stage. This segment of the quest focuses on battles and raids. Pokemon such as Charmander, Mankey, and Machop will appear often, and players can also catch a Ponyta with a Candela-themed accessory during this week.

Raids will also feature the following Pokemon: Hisuian Growlithe, Machamp, and Scizor.
